I first heard of the disability tax benefit from a co-worker who was looking into it for his mother. During the discussion he told me about the National Benefit Authority. When I contacted them to see if I would qualify the staff were very helpful and went out of their way to assist me in receiving a award of over $8000.00 . I had no problem with the fee as they earned it with all the work they had to do. They did a follow up to ensure everything had been to my satisfaction .
The fact that the disability tax benefit has been available for a number of years but not widely known about makes their service invaluable to disabled Canadians. The forms and information required , persistance in having the file reviewed is often time consuming and confusing for applicants so that they give up. Without help there are many disabled Canadians who will never receive a benefit they are entitled to . I want to thank the National Benefit for all the work they did on my behalf. It helped ease the financial strain that had resulted from being off after several surgeries.
